VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
TO COMMEND REAGAN CHASE KELLEY FOR HIS FIVE YEARS OF DEDICATED SERVICE TO THE SOUTH CAROLINA SENATE AND TO WISH HIM MUCH HAPPINESS AND FULFILLMENT IN THE YEARS AHEAD.
Whereas, the members of the South Carolina Senate are pleased to recognize Reagan Chase Kelley for his service to the South Carolina Senate; and
Whereas, from January of 2017 to September of 2022, Majority Leader Shane Massey and the Senate Republican Caucus have enjoyed the benefit of Reagan's dedication, experience, and leadership as Majority Director of Communications and Legislative Policy; and
Whereas, Reagan initially supported the Senate Republican Caucus as Communications Director and was later promoted to Caucus Policy Director; and
Whereas, while working with the Senate Republican Caucus, Reagan has researched and formed conservative legislation to help move our state forward. Widely known as a man who understands South Carolina's citizenry and political process, Reagan was well fitted for this task; and
Whereas, during his time with the Senate Republican Caucus, Reagan has worked hard with the goal of doing everything possible to help the members of the South Carolina Senate inform and assist the people of our State. He has diligently pursued an agenda to build the prosperity of South Carolina, and he has worked with all of the Republican Senators in a unified direction for each legislative session; and
Whereas, friends and colleagues alike appreciate Reagan's skill in the art of catering a proper caucus lunch, an unknown talent discovered during his tenure with the South Carolina Republican Caucus; and
Whereas, a civic leader, Reagan has served as the 2022 Round Table Chair at the Municipal Association of South Carolina, a judge for the National Forensics League Competitive Lincoln-Douglas Debate, and a supervisor for the South Carolina Freedom Summit by Citizens United and U.S. Representative Jeff Duncan; and
Whereas, a devout Christian, Reagan serves in the Worship and Arts Ministry of Northside Church in Lexington as a drummer; and
Whereas, the members of the South Carolina Senate wish to express their gratitude for Reagan's exemplary service to the people of South Carolina and wish him all the best as he takes on new responsibilities and challenges. He will be missed by his staff colleagues, as well as by his many friends in the South Carolina Senate. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the Senate:
That the members of the South Carolina Senate, by this resolution, commend Reagan Chase Kelley for his five years of dedicated service to the South Carolina Senate and wish him much happiness and fulfillment in the years ahead.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Reagan Chase Kelley.
