VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
TO RECOGNIZE AND COMMEND THE HONORABLE W. BRIAN WHITE OF ANDERSON COUNTY FOR HIS DEDICATED SERVICE IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES ON BEHALF OF HIS CONSTITUENTS AND THE CITIZENS OF SOUTH CAROLINA AND TO WISH HIM MUCH SUCCESS AND HAPPINESS IN ALL HIS FUTURE ENDEAVORS.
Whereas, the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives learned with sincere regret that Brian White will depart from the House of Representatives at the conclusion of his current term; and
Whereas, born in Anderson on July 20, 1967, he is the son of Sara and Earl White, and he attended Erskine College; and
Whereas, for many years Representative White was a principal in White Aviation, his family's business. Licensed as a commercial pilot, he was a flight instructor and ran Fixed Base Operators at Anderson County Airport; and
Whereas, he married his beloved wife, Courtney Simmons Bell White, in 1992, and together they reared two fine children, Amelia Grace and Isabelle Faith. When away from his duties in the House of Representatives, he resides in Anderson where he is a commercial insurance agent with the Marsh McLennan Agency out of Greenville; and
Whereas, an active member of First Presbyterian Church, Representative White is deeply involved in his community, having served as sergeant at arms of the Anderson Rotary Club; and
Whereas, during his career in the House of Representatives, he served as Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, Chairman of the House Rules Committee, on the Budget and Control Board, on the Joint Bond Review Committee, as the Chairman of the Anderson County Legislative Delegation, as Chairman of the Anderson Area Transportation Study Committee (ANATS), and most recently on the Labor, Commerce and Industry Committee; and
Whereas, Representative White has served as the Chairman of the South Carolina Sportsmen's Caucus and on the Executive Committee of the National Assembly of Sportsmen's Caucuses; and
Whereas, he has faithfully served the citizens of District 6 in Anderson County in the House of Representatives since 2001; and
Whereas, in all of his service, Representative White has provided thoughtful and enthusiastic counsel; and
Whereas, the members of the House of Representatives will miss the keen and impassioned service that Brian White, their friend and colleague, has given to the House of Representatives and hope that he will enjoy deep fulfillment in the years to come. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, recognize and commend the Honorable W. Brian White of Anderson County for his dedicated service in the House of Representatives on behalf of his constituents and the citizens of South Carolina and wish him much success and happiness in all his future endeavors.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to the Honorable W. Brian White.
