TO RECOGNIZE AND COMMEND THE HONORABLE JONATHON D. HILL OF ANDERSON COUNTY FOR HIS DEDICATED SERVICE IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES ON BEHALF OF HIS CONSTITUENTS AND THE CITIZENS OF SOUTH CAROLINA AND TO WISH HIM MUCH SUCCESS AND HAPPINESS IN ALL HIS FUTURE ENDEAVORS.
Whereas, the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives have learned that Jonathon D. Hill will depart from the House of Representatives at the conclusion of his current term; and
Whereas, born in Anderson on February 11, 1985, he is the son of Janet Hill and the late Jerry Hill and received a challenging education in home schooling; and
Whereas, Representative Hill married his beloved wife, Amanda K. Barber, in 2015, and when away from his duties in the House of Representatives, he is a software engineer and consultant and the owner of CompWright Enterprises, residing in Townville, and is an active member of Grace Baptist Church in Starr; and
Whereas, he has faithfully served the citizens of District 8 in the House of Representatives since 2015, during which time he has served on the Medical, Military, and Public and Municipal Affairs Committee; and
Whereas, as tenacious as the day is long, Representative Hill tirelessly championed the cause of limited government. Unafraid to take a stand and represent his constituents to the height of his ability, he has never wavered from his strongly held beliefs and principles which caused him to engage in public service; and
Whereas, the members of the House of Representatives note the keen and impassioned service that Jonathon Hill has given to the House of Representatives and recognize his contributions to the Legislative process. His command of the complex Rules by which the House is governed certainly made him a force to be reckoned with. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, recognize and commend the Honorable Jonathon D. Hill of Anderson County for his dedicated service in the House of Representatives on behalf of his constituents and the citizens of South Carolina and wish him much success and happiness in all his future endeavors.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to he Honorable Jonathon D. Hill.
