TO RECOGNIZE AND HONOR GEORGE M. OXNER FOR HIS CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE AMERICAN LEGION DEPARTMENT OF SOUTH CAROLINA.
Whereas, the members of the South Carolina Senate are pleased to recognize George M. Oxner as he celebrates forty years of service to the American Legion Department of South Carolina. He has served in many positions within the American Legion Department of South Carolina, including Post 70 Commander, Department Sergeant at Arms, and Vice Chairman of the National Distinguished Guest Committee; and
Whereas, Mr. Oxner is a veteran of the Vietnam War; and
Whereas, Mr. Oxner is a long-time member of ANAVICUS (Army, Navy, and Air Force Veterans Canada United States), an organization that provides scholarships; and
Whereas, the members of the South Carolina Senate greatly appreciate the dedication that Mr. Oxner has shown in serving the people and the State of South Carolina. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved:
That the members of the South Carolina Senate, by this resolution, recognize and honor George M. Oxner for his contributions to the American Legion Department of South Carolina.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to George M. Oxner.
