VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
A bill
to amend the South Carolina Code of Laws by amending Section 16-3-1430, relating to Victim assistance services and membership of Victim Services Coordinating Council, so as to replace the representatives of the State Office of Victim Assistance with representatives appointed by the chair of the victim services coordinating council.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Section 16-3-1430(B)(14) of the S.C. Code is amended to read:
(14) three representatives appointed by the State Office of Victim Assistancechair of the Victim Services Coordinating Council for a term of two years and until their successors are appointed and qualified for each of the following categories:
(a) one representative of university or campus services;
(b) one representative of a statewide child advocacy organization; and
(c) one crime victim; and
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
