A house RESOLUTION
TO RECOGNIZE AND HONOR ROHAN ATULKUMAR PATEL WHO IMMIGRATED TO THE UNITED STATES FROM HIS NATIVE INDIA AND TO CONGRATULATE HIM ON BECOMING A LEGAL CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.
Whereas, the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives are pleased to learn that Rohan Atulkumar Patel officially became a citizen of the United States on January 31, 2022; and
Whereas, born in Nadiad, in the state of Gujarat, India, Mr. Patel is the son of Swati Atulkumar Patel and Atulkumar Chimanbhai Patel; and
Whereas, Mr. Patel immigrated to the United States on January 28, 2009. He now lives in Columbia with his loving wife, Laurann Gallitto-Patel, and his precious daughter, Arya Rose Patel; and
Whereas, the road to become a naturalized citizen of the United States is not a short one. Applicants must prepare and submit an application form requesting naturalization, pay naturalization fees, complete an interview, and wait to receive a decision allowing naturalization and then a notice to take the Oath of Allegiance. The final and most sacred step in the process of becoming a United States' citizen is to take the Oath of Allegiance to the United States; and
Whereas, the South Carolina House of Representatives is pleased to learn that Mr. Patel took the required legal steps to immigrate to the United States and that he has joined us as a citizen of this great nation, and the members wish him much happiness and success on his journey here. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, recognize and honor Rohan Atulkumar Patel who immigrated of the United States from his native India and congratulate him on becoming a legal citizen of the United States of America.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Rohan Atulkumar Patel.
