VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
A bill
TO AMEND THE SOUTH CAROLINA CODE OF LAWS BY ADDING SECTION 10-1-164 SO AS TO provide THAT ANY UNITED STATES FLAG FLOWN AT A PUBLIC BUILDING, OR on PUBLIC GROUNDS, OR PURCHASED USING PUBLIC FUNDS MUST BE MADE AND MANUFACTURED IN THE UNITED STATES.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Chapter 1, Title 10 of the S.C. Code is amended by adding:
Section 10-1-164. Any United States flag flown at a public building or on public grounds in this State, or otherwise purchased by a public body using in whole or in part public funds, must be made and manufactured in the United States.
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
