A house RESOLUTION
TO CONGRATULATE AND HONOR PAIGE REED OF TOWNVILLE, CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER OF SAGE AUTOMOTIVE INTERIORS, INC., UPON THE OCCASION OF HER RETIREMENT AND TO WISH HER CONTINUED SUCCESS AND FULFILLMENT IN ALL HER FUTURE ENDEAVORS.
Whereas, the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives have learned that Paige Reed, chief financial officer of Sage Automotive Interiors, Inc., soon will begin a well-deserved retirement after many years of distinguished service in the field of finance; and
Whereas, in preparation for her career, Paige Reed earned a bachelor's degree in accounting at the University of South Carolina Upstate; and
Whereas, she served in a variety of roles in finance before joining Sage Automotive Interiors, Inc., in 2011, five months after the company was formed. Taking up her duties first as the company's corporate controller, she was promoted to vice president of finance in 2013 and in that same year was promoted once again, this time to chief financial officer; and
Whereas, in her work at Sage Automotive Interiors, Inc., she has provided leadership by helping to lay the foundation for accounting policies and procedures, manufacturing performance measurements, and many other financial practices that have contributed to the company's success in South Carolina and around the world; and
Whereas, further, Mrs. Reed has served as chair of the South Carolina Automotive Council for six years and has led the organization in fostering collaboration, promoting innovation, and maintaining a business environment conducive to growth and success for the Palmetto State's automotive manufacturing industry; and
Whereas, away from the office, Mrs. Reed has been involved in a volunteer capacity with the charity, Let There Be Moms, as well as with her church's youth ministry, and she has served several terms as church treasurer; and
Whereas, while she has accomplished much professionally and has blessed her community greatly, she is also a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who is loved by many friends and family members; and
Whereas, the House of Representatives is grateful for the legacy of professionalism and integrity that Paige Reed has bestowed on this great State and appreciates her long service to the people of South Carolina, most particularly to those of the Greenville, Spartanburg, and Anderson areas. Taking great pleasure in wishing her well as she enters retirement, the members trust she will find much enjoyment in the more leisurely pace of the days ahead. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, congratulate and honor Paige Reed of Townville, chief financial officer of Sage Automotive Interiors, Inc., upon the occasion of her retirement and wish her continued success and fulfillment in all her future endeavors.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Paige Reed.
