Deliberations were opened with prayer by Rev. Charles E. Seastrunk, Jr., as follows:
Our thought for today is from 1 Corinthians 12:11: "To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good."
Let us pray. We give thanks to You Heavenly Father for the gift of Your Spirit which binds us together for the benefit of all. May these Representatives and Staff grow together to work together to accomplish great things for the people of South Carolina. Bless our defenders of freedom and first responders. Make Your light shine on our World, Nation, President, State, Governor, Speaker, Staff, and all who serve in these Halls of Government. Continue to be with us and guide us each day. Heal the wounds, those seen and those hidden of our brave warriors who suffer for our freedom. Lord, in Your mercy, hear our prayers. Amen.
