A concurrent RESOLUTION

 

TO FIX NOON ON WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 7, 2024, AS THE TIME TO ELECT A SUCCESSOR TO A CERTAIN CHIEF JUSTICE OF THE SUPREME COURT, UPON HIS RETIREMENT ON OR BEFORE JULY 31, 2024, AND THE SUCCESSOR WILL FILL A NEW TERM OF THAT OFFICE WHICH WILL EXPIRE JULY 31, 2034.

 

Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:

 

That the Senate and the House of Representatives shall meet in joint assembly in the Hall of the House of Representatives on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at 12:00 noon to elect a successor to the Honorable Donald W. Beatty, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, upon his retirement on or before July 31, 2024, and the successor will serve a new term of that office, which will expire July 31, 2034.
