TO AMEND SECTION 4(A) OF ACT 355 OF 2004, RELATING TO THE CLARENDON COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT PROPERTY RELIEF ACT, SO AS TO ALLOW FOR THE REIMPOSITION OF THE TAX.

 

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

 

SECTION 1.  Section 4(A) of Act 355 of 2004 is amended to read:

 

SECTION  4. (A) The tax authorized by act may be imposed by ordinance of the governing body. The tax may not be imposed for more than twenty years. The tax authorized by this act may be reimposed by ordinance of the governing body for not more than an additional twenty years.

 

SECTION 2.  This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
