A senate RESOLUTION

 

TO RECOGNIZE AND HONOR THOMAS HOLLAND UPON THE OCCASION OF HIS RETIREMENT FROM GREENWOOD COUNTY PARKS AND RECREATION AFTER THIRTY YEARS OF DEDICATED SERVICE, AND WISH HIM MANY YEARS OF ENJOYMENT AND RELAXATION IN A WELL-DESERVED retirement.

 

Whereas, the members of the South Carolina Senate are pleased to have learned that Thomas Holland will begin a well-deserved retirement after three decades of service to Greenwood County Parks and Recreation, for which he will be honored at the Greenwood County 8th Annual Employee Recognition Luncheon at Greenwood Country Club on March 30, 2023; and

 

Whereas, since 1992, Mr. Holland has served part-time as a helper with Greenwood County Parks and Recreation, which enriches countless lives by providing diverse recreational activities; and

 

Whereas, a faithful member of South Main Baptist Church, he serves on the Greenwood High School Athletic Hall of Fame Committee and works the chains on the football field for the games; and

 

Whereas, Mr. Holland and his wife, Nancy, look forward to the slower pace his retirement will bring and the additional time he will have to enjoy his personal interests, like gardening, and their family. He has three fine sons, Bradley Holland, Cory Holland, and Andrew Holland, who have blessed him with the joy of six adoring grandchildren, Austin Holland, Aubrey Holland, Lily Kate Holland, Eli Fender, Tinley Holland, and Reece Smith, and one great-grandchild, Waylon Holland; and

 

Whereas, the members of the South Carolina Senate are sincerely pleased to offer Mr. Holland their heartfelt appreciation for his decades of dedication to Greenwood County Parks and Recreation, and wish him a long and enjoyable retirement.  Now, therefore,

 

Be it resolved by the Senate:

 

That the members of the South Carolina Senate, by this resolution, recognize and honor Thomas Holland upon the occasion of his retirement from Greenwood County Parks and Recreation after thirty years of dedicated service, and wish him many years of enjoyment and relaxation in a well-deserved retirement.

 

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Thomas Holland.
