A senate RESOLUTION

 

TO CONGRATULATE HANNAH WILSON UPON BEING NAMED 2023-2024 GREENWOOD SCHOOL DISTRICT 50 FIRST YEAR TEACHER OF THE YEAR, TO EXPRESS APPRECIATION FOR HER DEDICATED SERVICE TO CHILDREN, AND TO WISH HER CONTINUED SUCCESS IN THE FUTURE.

 

Whereas, the Senate is pleased to learn that Hannah Wilson has been selected 2023-2024 First Year Teacher of the Year for Greenwood School District 50; and

 

Whereas, each district Teacher of the Year undergoes a rigorous screening and assessment process in order to be selected as the top teacher in that district. Representing all teachers in South Carolina, these teachers act as role models and mentors for their colleagues in their districts and demonstrate a consistent commitment to excellence; and

 

Whereas, district Teachers of the Year have hundreds of years of combined teaching experience and possess a proven ability to make a positive difference for their students, schools, and communities. Indeed, South Carolina is fortunate to have such dedicated and caring teachers educating and molding South Carolina's youth; and

 

Whereas, it is entirely appropriate for the South Carolina Senate to pause in its deliberations to honor Hannah Wilson, 2023-2024 First Year Teacher of the Year for Greenwood School District 50, for amply providing her students the opportunity to live complete and successful lives as the future leaders of their communities. Now, therefore,

 

Be it resolved by the Senate:

 

That the members of the South Carolina Senate, by this resolution, congratulate Hannah Wilson upon being named 2023-2024 Greenwood School District 50 First Year Teacher of the Year, express appreciation for her dedicated service to children, and wish her continued success in the future.

 

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Hannah Wilson.
