A house RESOLUTION

 

TO CONGRATULATE LAKE MURRAY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL OF LEXINGTON ON THE OCCASION OF ITS TWENTY-FIFTH ANNIVERSARY AND TO WISH THE SCHOOL MANY MORE YEARS OF PROVIDING STUDENTS THE OPPORTUNITY TO LIVE COMPLETE AND SUCCESSFUL LIVES AS FUTURE LEADERS OF THEIR COMMUNITIES.

 

Whereas, the South Carolina House of Representatives is pleased to learn that Lake Murray Elementary School of Lexington has reached the quarter-century mark of fulfilling its worthy mission: producing students who show themselves "Anchored in Leadership, Anchored in Learning"; and

 

Whereas, founded in 1999, Lake Murray Elementary School of Lexington is known for having a rigorous teaching and collaborative-learning environment that encourages all students to aspire to be their very best while celebrating their individual successes; and

 

Whereas, Lake Murray Elementary School of Lexington provides all students with opportunities to develop the World-Class Skills, as well as life and career characteristics, of the Profile of the South Carolina Graduate by creating an innovative learning environment that focuses on leadership and self-directed learners; and

 

Whereas, the campus exemplifies student learning and growth by emphasizing collaboration, communication, creativity, and critical thinking. The school's vision is to help develop self-directed global citizens who lead and learn with excellence. Through this culture, faculty members aspire to provide the highest level of teaching by making decisions based on what is best for each child. They invest in relationships and provide support while celebrating the success of all students; and

 

Whereas, Lake Murray Elementary School of Lexington commemorated twenty-five years of Mariner Magic at a special celebratory event on Sunday, February 9, 2025; and

 

Whereas the members of the House wish the administrators, staff, and faculty of Lexington's Lake Murray Elementary School much continued success in the days ahead as they educate this state's most precious resource, its children. Now, therefore,

 

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

 

That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, congratulate Lake Murray Elementary School of Lexington on the occasion of its twenty-fifth anniversary and wish the school many more years of providing students the opportunity to live complete and successful lives as future leaders of their communities. Now, therefore,

 

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Principal Leisa Clamp of Lake Murray Elementary School of Lexington.
