Whereas, the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives were saddened to learn of the death of Timothy Furman Touchberry at the age of seventy-four on February 6, 2025; and

Whereas, born on September 1, 1950, he was the son of Furman and Esther Touchberry, and he graduated from Stall High School. In preparation for his lifework in education and athletics, he earned a bachelor's degree from the Baptist College at Charleston and a master's degree from The Citadel; and

His children blessed him with the affection of six adoring grandchildren: Sage, Beckham, Jake, Amara, Rand, and Orion, whose lives he enriched with his wisdom, warmth, and unwavering love; and

Whereas, a man of faith, integrity, and compassion, Mr. Touchberry inspired the lives of so many, guiding future leaders in the classrooms and on the athletic fields and courts; and
