A house RESOLUTION
TO HONOR AND CONGRATULATE OFFICER WADE EADDY UPON THE OCCASION OF HIS RETIREMENT FROM THE JOHNSONVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT, TO THANK HIM FOR HIS NINETEEN YEARS OF OUTSTANDING SERVICE WITH THE CITY OF JOHNSONVILLE, AND TO WISH HIM CONTINUED SUCCESS AND FULFILLMENT IN ALL HIS FUTURE ENDEAVORS.
Whereas, since May 15, 2006, the City of Johnsonville has enjoyed the benefit of the dedication, experience, and leadership of the Johnsonville Police Department's Officer Wade Eaddy, who will retire from his present post on March 29, 2025, after nearly two decades of distinguished service; and
Whereas, in the course of accomplishing his duties as one of our fine South Carolina law enforcement officers, Wade Eaddy has demonstrated courage and commitment and has put his life on the line every day in providing safety and security for the protection of the Palmetto State's citizens, most particularly those of Johnsonville; and
Whereas, serving as a police officer has been a rewarding profession for Officer Eaddy because he has found that you get back what you give. Now that he has reached retirement, the House hopes Officer Eaddy soon will find himself indulging in anticipated plans for relaxation, perhaps in the field of woodwork, which the House understands is a favorite hobby of this dedicated officer; and
Whereas, on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at the Johnsonville City Council meeting, Mayor Keith Callicutt will lead the council in honoring Wade Eaddy on the occasion of his retirement from the Johnsonville Police Department; and
Whereas, grateful for the legacy of consistent commitment and excellence Officer Eaddy has bestowed on this great State, the House takes great pleasure in wishing him well as he enters retirement and trusts he will find much enjoyment in the more leisurely pace of the days ahead. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, honor and congratulate Officer Wade Eaddy upon the occasion of his retirement from the Johnsonville Police Department, thank him for his nineteen years of outstanding service with the City of Johnsonville, and wish him continued success and fulfillment in all his future endeavors.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Officer Wade Eaddy.
