A senate RESOLUTION

 

to congratulate Sleep Number, South Carolina Manufacturing and Assembly, for being a manufacturing company that brings great pride to the State of South Carolina.

 

Whereas, Sleep Number, South Carolina Manufacturing and Assembly, is a manufacturer located in Irmo and has been in operation in South Carolina since 1997; and

 

Whereas, Sleep Number manufactures the ClimateCool Smartbed, an innovative sleep solution designed to provide personalized comfort by actively cooling up to fifteen degrees on either side, ensuring an optimal sleep temperature for every individual; and

 

Whereas, Sleep Number's highly skilled workforce of two hundred fifty associates in South Carolina, and three thousand five hundred associates company-wide, contributes to the company's mission of improving lives through individualized sleep solutions; and

 

Whereas, the Irmo manufacturing facility has the capacity to produce more than three hundred thousand beds per year, supporting Sleep Number's commitment to providing high-quality, life-changing sleep technology to customers across the nation; and

 

Whereas, the ClimateCool Smartbed features an advanced dynamic airflow system that draws excess heat away from the body, combining cooling ceramic gel layers with a breathable sleep surface to deliver the most effective cooling experience. Integrated SleepIQ technology further enhances sleep health by optimizing rest and providing users with data-driven insights to improve overall wellness; and

 

Whereas, Sleep Number is dedicated to giving back to the community, supporting local philanthropic efforts through blood drives and its annual Adopt-a-Family program during the holiday season, making a meaningful impact in the lives of South Carolinians; and

 

Whereas, South Carolina is home to more than six thousand manufacturing facilities producing world-class products. From among those facilities, Sleep Number was nominated and advanced to the Top Four round in the South Carolina Manufacturers Alliance's 2025 Manufacturing Madness: The Coolest Thing Made in SC contest, standing out among one hundred fifty-one nominated products. Now, therefore,

 

Be it resolved by the Senate:

 

That the members of the South Carolina Senate, by this resolution, congratulate Sleep Number, South Carolina Manufacturing and Assembly, for being a manufacturing company that brings great pride to the State of South Carolina.

 

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to the representatives of Sleep Number, South Carolina Manufacturing and Assembly.
