A Bill to amend the Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, by adding Chapter 11 to Title 37, so as to provide for the licensing and regulation of continuing care retirement communities by setting forth related definitions, licensing and regulating requirements, financial duties, disclosure requirements, the establishment of a complaint system, billing requirements, examination of the communities, establishment of an escrow account, sanctions for noncompliance, the appeal process, penalties for violations, and a waiver of requirements.
