    A BILL TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 16-3-1082 SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT A PERSON OR BUSINESS COMMITS THE OFFENSE OF FURNISHING FALSE CREDIT INFORMATION IF THE PERSON OR BUSINESS KNOWINGLY FURNISHES FALSE INFORMATION ABOUT ANOTHER PERSON'S CREDITWORTHINESS, CREDIT STANDING, OR CREDIT CAPACITY TO A CREDIT REPORTING BUREAU, TO PROVIDE THAT A CREDIT-REPORTING BUREAU COMMITS THE OFFENSE OF FURNISHING FALSE CREDIT INFORMATION IF THE CREDIT-REPORTING BUREAU KNOWINGLY FURNISHES FALSE INFORMATION ABOUT A PERSON'S CREDITWORTHINESS, CREDIT STANDING, OR CREDIT CAPACITY TO A THIRD PARTY, AND TO PROVIDE A PENALTY.
