A Bill to amend Sections 40-55-20, 40-55-30, 40-55-40, 40-55-80, as amended, and 40-55-100, Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, relating to the State Board of Examiners in Psychology, so as to change the composition of the Board, provide for the appointment of its members and the filling of vacancies, eliminate the requirement that candidates for licenses must furnish evidence of good moral character, require the establishment of a passing score for written examinations, require an annual report according to the provisions of Act 165 of 1979, provide that revenue shall be paid to the State Treasurer and that assessments and fees shall be levied in an amount to equal funds appropriated to the Board; to amend the 1976 Code by adding Section 40-55-180 so as to require the Board to determine areas of specialization for applicants to practice psychology; to repeal Section 40-55-10 which defines "academic member" and "nonacademic member" and to reauthorize the existence of the State Board of Examiners in Psychology.
