    A BILL TO AMEND SECTION 23-6-100, AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE CREATION OF THE HIGHWAY PATROL DIVISION, AND THE STATE POLICE DIVISION AND THEIR DISTINCTIVE UNIFORMS AND EMBLEMS, SO AS TO REQUIRE THE HIGHWAY PATROL DIVISION TO TRANSFER THE SERVICE SIDEARM OF AN ACTIVE DUTY TROOPER KILLED IN THE LINE OF DUTY TO HIS SURVIVING SPOUSE AT NO CHARGE UPON REQUEST ONCE THEIR REVOLVER HAS BEEN RENDERED INOPERABLE.-AMENDED TITLE
