H 3912 General Bill, By D.M. McEachin
    A Bill to amend Section 12-7-435, as amended, Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, relating to deductions from South Carolina taxable income, so as to eliminate all deductions for federal or state retirement or pension benefits of any type; to amend Sections 9-1-1680, as amended, 9-8-190, 9-9-180, and 9-11-270, relating to the tax exemption allowed retirement benefits of the various state retirement systems, so as to delete the exemption from the state individual income tax; to repeal Section 12-7-436, relating to phase-in provisions of certain retirement exclusions; to repeal Section 12-7-565, relating to the exclusion from income of retirement benefits certain teachers and employees of this State living in other states; and to repeal Section 12-7-570, relating to the exclusion from income of retirement benefits of members of the National Guard or other reserve components of the armed forces.
