    A BILL TO AMEND SECTION 59-149-50, AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO ELIGIBILITY OF A STUDENT TO RECEIVE A LIFE SCHOLARSHIP, SO AS TO INCLUDE A STUDENT WHOSE PARENT OR GUARDIAN IS IN THE MILITARY OR HAS RETIRED FROM THE MILITARY WITHIN FOUR YEARS OF THE DATE THE STUDENT APPLIES FOR THE SCHOLARSHIP IF THE PARENT OR GUARDIAN HAS PAID INCOME TAXES IN THIS STATE FOR A MAJORITY OF THE YEARS OF MILITARY SERVICE AND IS A RESIDENT OF THIS STATE.
