A Bill to amend Title 45, Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, relating to motels, hotels, restaurants, and boarding houses by adding Chapter 9 so as to provide that all persons in this State are entitled to full and equal privileges at any place of public accommodation, to define a place of public accommodation, to provide certain exceptions, to provide penalties for violations, and to authorize an aggrieved party to institute an action for civil damages for violations.
