S 0969 General Bill, By P.B. McLeod and Leventis
    A Bill to amend Section 59-53-30, Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, relating to admissions policies and programs of the Technical Education System, so as to provide for the General Assembly instead of the Commission on Higher Education to approve the offering of two-year college parallel programs; Section 59-53-40, relating to coordination of education and the budget and enrollment documentation for college parallel courses or associate degree programs with college transfer credit, so a to delete the provision for the courses and programs to be approved or terminated by the Commission on Higher Education; and Section 59-103-35, as amended, relating to budgets and programs of public institutions of higher learning, so as to delete the application of Chapter 103 of Title 59 to college parallel programs of technical and comprehensive education institutions and provide for the approval of two-year college parallel programs; and to provide for the termination of two-year college parallel programs unless approved by the General Assembly.
