VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 40-1-55 SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT THERE IS A TEN-DAY GRACE PERIOD FROM THE RENEWAL DATE FOR ANY LICENSE, REGISTRATION, OR OTHER AUTHORIZATION TO PRACTICE AN OCCUPATION OR PROFESSION REGULATED PURSUANT TO TITLE 40.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Chapter 1, Title 40 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding:
"Section 40-1-55. Notwithstanding any provision of this title or any other provision of law, a ten-day grace period is established from the renewal date of any license, registration, or any other authorization to practice an occupation or profession regulated pursuant to this title."
SECTION 2. This act takes effect July 1, 2011.
