To whom was referred a Bill (H. 4788) to amend the Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, by adding Section 53-3-65 so as to designate the second Sunday in August as, etc., respectfully

REPORT:

That they have duly and carefully considered the same and recommend that the same do pass:

A BILL

TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 53-3-65 SO AS TO DESIGNATE THE SECOND SUNDAY IN AUGUST AS "SPIRIT OF '45 DAY".

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION    1.    Article 1, Chapter 3, Title 53 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding:

"Section 53-3-65.    The second Sunday in August is hereby designated as 'Spirit of '45 Day' to commemorate the anniversary of the end of World War II."

SECTION    2.    This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
