VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
TO PROVIDE THAT ALL FINES RECEIVED BY THE STATE FROM THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT RELATING TO PLUTONIUM STORAGE AT THE SAVANNAH RIVER SITE MUST BE USED EXCLUSIVELY FOR HIGHWAY, ROAD, AND BRIDGE MAINTENANCE, CONSTRUCTION, AND REPAIR.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, all fines received by the State from the federal government relating to plutonium storage at the Savannah River Site must be credited to the State Highway Fund and must be used exclusively for highway, road, and bridge maintenance, construction, and repair.
SECTION 2. This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
