    A Bill to amend Section 8-1-145, as amended, Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, relating to the irrevocable resignation of an elected officeholder, so as to provide that if a person resigns his office because he is offering for another popularly elected office, the office is not considered vacated until a successor is elected and qualifies.
