A Bill to amend Section 8-13-610, Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, as amended, relating to the filing of a statement of economic interest by a candidate for elective public office so as to alter the procedure for filing such statement by requiring a candidate to file the statement at the time of declaration of candidacy or petition to appear on the ballot with an authorized official and to provide that candidates for public office filled by election by the General Assembly or with the advice and consent of the Senate or the General Assembly file such statements with Chairmen of the Senate and the House Ethics Committees instead of with the Clerks of such bodies.
