AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 7-7-290, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO VOTING PRECINCTS IN GREENWOOD COUNTY, SO AS TO CONSOLIDATE CERTAIN PRECINCTS AND REVISE OTHER PRECINCTS.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Voting precincts revised, polling places to be designated

SECTION 1. Section 7-7-290 of the 1976 Code is amended to read:

"Section 7-7-290. (A) In Greenwood County there shall be the following voting precincts:

1--Greenwood No. 1

2--Greenwood No. 2

3--Greenwood No. 3

4--Greenwood No. 4

5--Greenwood No. 5

6--Greenwood No. 6

7--Glendale

8--Harris

9--Laco

10--Ninety-Six

11--Ninety-Six Mill

12--Ware Shoals

13--Hodges

14--Cokesbury

15--Coronaca

17--Cambridge

18--Oak Grove

19--Callison

20--Kirksey's

21--Troy

22--Bradley

23--Phoenix

24--Epworth

25--Verdery

26--Greenwood Mill

27--New Market

28--Emerald

29--Blakedale

30--Fairground

32--Riley

33--Shoals Junction

(B) The precinct lines defining the above precincts are as shown on the official map dated December 11, 1991, on file with the Division of Research and Statistical Services of the State Budget and Control Board and as shown on certified copies provided to the State Election Commission and the Greenwood Board of Voter Registration. The official map may not be changed except by act of the General Assembly.

(C) The Greenwood County Election Commission shall designate the polling places of each precinct."

Time effective

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
