TO AMEND SECTION 34-11-60, AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE OFFENSE OF DRAWING AND UTTERING A FRAUDULENT CHECK, SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT NO PROSECUTION FOR A VIOLATION OF THE SECTION MAY BEGIN MORE THAN NINETY DAYS AFTER THE DATE THE CHECK WAS UTTERED.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Section 34-11-60 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding at the end:
"(e) No prosecution for a violation of this section may begin more than ninety days after the date the check was uttered."
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
