TO CONGRATULATE HAROLD D. MCLAMB, COUNTY EXTENSION AGENT WITH THE CLEMSON UNIVERSITY EXTENSION SERVICE IN LEE COUNTY, UPON HIS RETIREMENT AFTER TWENTY-FOUR YEARS OF STATE SERVICE, FOURTEEN OF WHICH HAVE BEEN AS COUNTY EXTENSION DIRECTOR IN LEE COUNTY.
Whereas, the members of the General Assembly with regret have learned that Harold D. McLamb, County Extension Agent with the Clemson University Extension Service in Lee County, is retiring on June 30, 1994; and
Whereas, Mr. McLamb first became employed with the extension service on November 1, 1970, and worked in Marion County from that date until January 4, 1979; and
Whereas, on January 5, 1979, he became County Extension Director in Lee County and has served in this capacity with distinction since this date; and
Whereas, during his tenure as County Extension Director, he has rendered valuable services to his constituents in many areas including innovative leadership in soil testing, soil temperature tests, skip row cotton demonstrations, and bio-regenerative cotton demonstrations; and
Whereas, the people of Lee County and the State of South Carolina owe this fine man a debt of gratitude for his years of teaching and serving the people of this State; and
Whereas, the members of the General Assembly, by this resolution, would like to publicly recognize and commend him on the occasion of his upcoming retirement. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
That the members of the General Assembly hereby congratulate Harold D. McLamb, County Extension Agent with the Clemson University Extension Service in Lee County, upon his retirement after twenty-four years of state service, fourteen of which have been as County Extension Director in Lee County.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. Harold D. McLamb.
