TO CONGRATULATE MAJOR FRANKLIN E. WARD OF CHARLESTON COUNTY ON THE OCCASION OF HIS RETIREMENT FROM THE UNITED STATES AIR FORCE.
Whereas, it has come to the attention of the members of the General Assembly that Major Franklin E. Ward is retiring from the United States Air Force; and
Whereas, Major Ward has served in the United States Air Force for the past fifteen years; and
Whereas, he has given unselfishly to his country, State, and community by serving as a most dedicated servant in the military; and
Whereas, Major Ward has been recognized for his outstanding service by receiving Air Force commendation medals and several meritorious unit medals; and
Whereas, his military experience is superior and will be sorely missed by his colleagues; and
Whereas, no man, upon retiring from the Air Force, ever took with him as high a degree of respect and good wishes from so many devoted friends. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
That the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, commends Major Franklin E. Ward for his many years of outstanding and dedicated service to the United States Air Force and extend best wishes upon his retirement. Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Major Franklin E. Ward.
