A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

TO RECOGNIZE AND COMMEND JOHN RENFRO OF LANDRUM FOR BEING NAMED CHAIRMAN OF THE 1996 ARTS PARTNERSHIP CAMPAIGN AND WISH HIM CONTINUED SUCCESS IN THE FUTURE.

Whereas, Spartanburg business and civic leader John Renfro has been named chairman of the 1996 Arts Partnership campaign which has set the 1996 campaign goal at eight hundred thousand dollars; and

Whereas, Mr. Renfro is vice president of Inman Mills and currently serves as treasurer and trustee of the Inman-Riverdale Foundation and as a board member of the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce, Spartanburg Development Association, Piedmont Club, the Inman Advisory Board of Palmetto Bank, FENCE, and the Arts Partnership; and

Whereas, known for his dedicated service and commitment to the community, Mr. Renfro has formerly served in leadership positions in many organizations including chairman of the Arts 2001 Blue Ribbon Task Force which created the Arts Partnership, chairman of the United Way of the Piedmont, and vice president of the Spartanburg Area Chamber of Commerce; and

Whereas, Mr. Renfro and his wife Beverly currently reside in Landrum, South Carolina. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the General Assembly recognizes and commends John Renfro of Landrum for being named chairman of the 1996 Arts Partnership campaign and wishes him continued success in the future.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to John and Beverly Renfro.
