TO COMMEND LAURENS COUNTY DEPUTY SHERIFF GARY H. GIBBS FOR HIS DISTINGUISHED CAREER AS A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER UPON THE OCCASION OF HIS UPCOMING RETIREMENT.
Whereas, the members of the General Assembly have learned with regret that Deputy Sheriff Gary H. Gibbs of Laurens County will be retiring later this year; and
Whereas, throughout his service with the Laurens County Sheriff's Department and throughout his law enforcement career, Gary Gibbs has earned the respect of all those who came in contact with him as an officer of courage, dedication, and fairness; and
Whereas, being a law enforcement officer requires a special calling and special type of person and Gary Gibbs is such a person; and
Whereas, he has brought great credit not only upon himself, but his department and county as well; and
Whereas, the members of the General Assembly, by this resolution, would like to publicly recognize and thank Deputy Sheriff Gary H. Gibbs for his exemplary service as a Deputy Sheriff of Laurens County upon his retirement. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
That the members of the General Assembly hereby commend Laurens County Deputy Sheriff Gary H. Gibbs for his distinguished career as a law enforcement officer upon the occasion of his upcoming retirement.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Deputy Sheriff Gary H. Gibbs.
