AN ACT TO AMEND ACT 951 OF 1970, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO THE SOUTH SIDE FIRE DISTRICT IN UNION COUNTY, SO AS TO INCREASE ITS BORROWING AUTHORITY FROM TWENTY THOUSAND DOLLARS TO TWO HUNDRED FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
District may borrow
SECTION 1. Section 5(h) of Act 951 of 1970 is amended to read:
"(h) To borrow not exceeding two hundred fifty thousand dollars on terms and for a period as to the fire control board may seem most beneficial for the fire district in anticipation of taxes. The indebtedness must be evidenced by a note issued by the members of the board and the county treasurer. The full faith, credit, and taxing power of the South Side Fire District is irrevocably pledged for the payment of the indebtedness."

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
