AN ACT TO AMEND ACT 482 OF 1969, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO THE JONESVILLE FIRE DISTRICT IN UNION COUNTY, SO AS TO INCREASE ITS BORROWING AUTHORITY FROM SEVENTY-FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS TO FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
District may borrow
SECTION 1. Section 5(h) of Act 482 of 1969, as last amended by Act 66 of 1975, is further amended to read:
"(h) To borrow not exceeding five hundred thousand dollars on such terms and for such a period as to the fire control board may seem most beneficial for the fire district, in anticipation of taxes. The indebtedness must be evidenced by notes issued by the members of the board and the county treasurer. The full faith, credit, and taxing power of the Jonesville Fire District is irrevocably pledged for the payments of the indebtedness."

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
