A JOINT RESOLUTION TO PROVIDE THAT THE SCHOOL DAY OF FEBRUARY 7, 1997, MISSED BY STUDENTS OF EDWARDS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IN CHESTERFIELD COUNTY FOR SCHOOL YEAR 1996-97 WHEN THE SCHOOL WAS CLOSED DUE TO SEVERE VANDALISM IS EXEMPTED FROM THE MAKE-UP REQUIREMENT OF THE DEFINED MINIMUM PLAN THAT FULL SCHOOL DAYS MISSED DUE TO EXTREME WEATHER OR OTHER CIRCUMSTANCES BE MADE UP.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
Missed school day, exempt from make-up requirement
SECTION 1. The school day missed on February 7, 1997, by the students of Edwards Elementary School in Chesterfield County for school year 1996-97 when the school was closed due to severe vandalism is exempted from the make-up requirement of the defined minimum plan that full school days missed due to extreme weather or other circumstances be made up.
Time effective
SECTION 2. This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
