TO APPROVE REGULATIONS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF LABOR, LICENSING AND REGULATION, CONTRACTORS' LICENSING BOARD, RELATING TO EXAMINATION REQUIREMENTS, CLASSIFICATIONS, MECHANICAL CONTRACTORS LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS, OWNER-PREPARED FINANCIAL STATEMENT, GENERAL CONTRACTORS-HIGHWAY CLASSIFICATION, DESIGNATED AS REGULATION DOCUMENT NUMBER 2488, PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF ARTICLE 1,
CHAPTER 23, TITLE 1 OF THE 1976 CODE.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. The regulations of the Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation, Contractors' Licensing Board, relating to examination requirements, classifications, mechanical contractors licensure requirements, owner-prepared financial statement, general contractors-highway classification, designated as Regulation Document Number 2488, and submitted to the General Assembly pursuant to the provisions of Article 1, Chapter 23, Title 1 of the 1976 Code, are approved.
SECTION 2. This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
The South Carolina Contractors' Licensing Board is amending current regulations which add an examination requirement for a boiler classification; change process piping and public electrical utility classifications to conform with computerized records; specify a form for submission of owner-prepared financial statements; clarify the General Contractors-Highway classification.
