TO PROVIDE THAT UP TO TWO SCHOOL DAYS MISSED IN JANUARY, 2000, BY THE STUDENTS AND TEACHERS OF THE THREE DILLON COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICTS DURING SCHOOL YEAR 1999-2000 WHEN THE SCHOOLS WERE CLOSED DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER ARE EXEMPTED FROM THE MAKE-UP REQUIREMENT OF THE DEFINED MINIMUM PLAN THAT FULL SCHOOL DAYS MISSED DUE TO EXTREME WEATHER OR OTHER CIRCUMSTANCES BE MADE UP.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Up to two school days missed in January, 2000, by the students and teachers of the three Dillon County School Districts during school year 1999-2000 when the schools were closed due to inclement weather are exempted from the make-up requirement of the defined minimum plan that full school days missed due to extreme weather or other circumstances be made up.
SECTION 2. This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
