TO EXPRESS THE DEEP APPRECIATION AND GRATITUDE OF THE MEMBERS OF THE SOUTH CAROLINA SENATE TO LARRY I. JAMES FOR HIS UNBOUNDED COMMITMENT TO THE GREER PUBLIC SCHOOLS AND TO PROCLAIM MONDAY, MARCH 25, 2002, AS "LARRY I. JAMES DAY" FOR HIS ACTIVE INVOLVEMENT AND CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE STUDENTS, FACULTY, AND ADMINISTRATION OF THE GREER PUBLIC SCHOOLS.
Whereas, Larry I. James serves as a business partner to the Greer public schools' "Vision of Excellence" program with enthusiasm, good cheer, and dedication; and
Whereas, Larry James' love of public education, through his contributions of unique curriculum kits, books, sponsorship of authors in these schools, and his continuing support to the media centers, has enabled the teachers to push for excellence and high principles; and
Whereas, it is fitting and appropriate for the South Carolina Senate to pause in their deliberations to thank Larry James for his unceasing efforts to improve the quality of education in the community of Greer and the Palmetto State. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the Senate:
That the members of the South Carolina Senate, by this resolution, express their deep appreciation and gratitude to Larry I. James for his unbounded commitment to the Greer public schools and to proclaim Monday, March 25, 2002, as "Larry I. James Day" for his active involvement and contributions to the students, faculty, and administration of the Greer public schools.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Larry I. James.
