TO RECOGNIZE AND COMMEND CATHERINE JACOBS, A LOYAL, DEDICATED, AND HARD-WORKING EMPLOYEE OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES WHO IS RETIRING ON FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 2, 2001, AND TO WISH HER THE VERY BEST IN THE ACTIVE LIFE SHE WILL LEAD IN HER RETIREMENT.
Whereas, Catherine Jacobs, best known to everyone as Ms. Cat, has been a hard-working, dedicated, and loyal worker for the House of Representatives in the Blatt Building. She has decided to retire from her position on February 2, 2001; and
Whereas, Ms. Cat is married to Willie Jacobs and they are the proud parents of four children, Willie, Jr., Judy Ann, Barbara, and Ineta. The family has now grown to include eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren with two more on the way. The "grands" and "great-grands", rightfully, are her pride and joy; and
Whereas, she is a faithful and dedicated member of Progress Holiness Church of Our Lord and Savior; and
Whereas, Ms. Cat has been employed with General Services since 1995. After she retires, all of the staff and House members in the Blatt Building, particularly on the third floor but also through the entire building, will certainly miss her beautiful smile and pleasing personality; and
Whereas, the spirit in the Blatt Building will not be the same after Ms. Cat retires because the warmth and cheerfulness she has brought to her work each day leave with her; and
Whereas, we ask our Lord to continue to bless Ms. Cat and her family as she begins her well-deserved retirement. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the House of Representatives recognize and commend Catherine Jacobs, a loyal, dedicated, and hard-working employee of the House of Representatives who is retiring on Friday, February 2, 2001, and wish her the very best in the active life she will lead in her retirement.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Catherine Jacobs.
