VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
TO RECOGNIZE AND CONGRATULATE THE MEMBERS OF THE LANGLEY-BATH-CLEARWATER HIGH SCHOOL CLASS OF 1954 ON THEIR UPCOMING FIFTIETH REUNION AND TO EXTEND TO EACH MEMBER OF THE CLASS BEST WISHES IN ALL OF THEIR FUTURE ENDEAVORS.
Whereas, the 1954 graduating class of Langley-Bath-Clearwater High School will reunite on May 15, 2004, at what is now known as L.B.C. Middle School to mingle with old friends and classmates and share their successes and triumphs since graduation day; and
Whereas, to celebrate a fiftieth reunion is a momentous occasion and the event is sure to be filled with excitement and nostalgia; and
Whereas, the members of the 1954 LBC High School graduating class include Wilma E. Beard, Regina K. Benson, Melvin Blackburn, Mexie W. Brantley, Walter Bush, Ruth Dyar, Edwin Farmer, Barbara H. Carver, Rudy Cauble, Bo Herndon, Joan B. Hudson, George Johnson, Bobby Jones, Marvin Jones, Barbara C. Krepps, Shirley S. McGee, Zora Lee A. Nesmith, Curtis O'Banion, Elaine S. Proctor, Beverly E. Quarles, Ray Reames, Gene Sawyer, Richard Sharp, Don Shirley, Billy Ray Tollison, Raymond Toole, Eleanor Weatherford, Jean F. Wright, and Joanne K. Youngblood; and
Whereas, the members of the Senate would also like to remember those deceased members of the Class of 1954 including Jimmy Harman, Jo Ann P. Hudson, Patricia N. Kempe, Edwin Padgett, Harvey Rutland, Paul Ward, and Delores Wood; and
Whereas, the General Assembly is pleased to have the opportunity to recognize this outstanding class on the occasion of its fiftieth reunion. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the Senate:
That the members of the Senate of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, recognize and congratulate the members of the Langley-Bath-Clearwater High School Class of 1954 on their upcoming fiftieth reunion and extend to each member of the class best wishes in all of their future endeavors.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the LBC High School Class of 1954.
