A SENATE RESOLUTION

TO HONOR AND RECOGNIZE THE VOLUNTEERS AND MEMBERS OF THE FIRE SERVICES OF THE COUNTY AND CITY OF NEWBERRY, TO THANK THEM FOR ALL THEY DO FOR THEIR COMMUNITIES, AND TO EXTEND TO THEM BEST WISHES IN ALL THEIR FUTURE ENDEAVORS.

Whereas, it is with great pleasure that we recognize South Carolinians who are dedicated to giving their time and energy to helping protect our communities and the people of the Palmetto State; and

Whereas, it is appropriate to recognize the great achievements and lasting service of the people who volunteer to risk their own lives to ensure the safety of the citizens of this State; and

Whereas, the volunteers and members of the fire services of the County and City of Newberry are instilled with a sense of duty and unparalleled bravery as they selflessly undertake to protect the citizens of their communities from the perils and tragedies of fire; and

Whereas, the members of the Senate are proud to take this opportunity to recognize the many accomplishments and contributions of the fire departments of Bush River, Chappells, Consolidated #5, Fairview, Friendly, Little Mountain, Maybinton, Newberry City, O'Neal, Peak, Pomaria, Prosperity, St. Philips, Silverstreet, Stoney Hill, and Whitmire and are happy to know that the people of South Carolina are safer because of their efforts. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate:

That the members of the Senate of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, honor and recognize the volunteers and members of the fire services of the County and City of Newberry, thank them for all they do for their communities, and extend our best wishes in all their future endeavors.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to all of the volunteers and members of the fire services of the County and City of Newberry.
