VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
TO AMEND SECTION 56-5-4490, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO MOTOR VEHICLE HEAD LAMPS, SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT A MOTOR VEHICLE MAY NOT BE EQUIPPED WITH COLORED OR TINTED HEAD LAMPS.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Section 56-5-4490 of the 1976 Code is amended to read:
"Section 56-5-4490. Every A motor vehicle other than a motorcycle or motor-driven cycle shall must be equipped with at least two head lamps with at least one on each side of the front of the motor vehicle. Such The head lamps shall comply with the requirements and limitations set forth contained in this article. Every A motorcycle and every a motor-driven cycle shall must be equipped with at least one and not more than two head lamps which shall comply with the requirements and limitations of contained in this article. A motor vehicle, motorcycle, or motor-driven cycle may not be equipped with colored or tinted head lamps."
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
