VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
TO CONGRATULATE THE LAMAR HIGH SCHOOL SILVER FOXES OF DARLINGTON COUNTY ON THEIR 2003 STATE DIVISION A BASEBALL TITLE, AND TO HONOR THE PLAYERS AND COACH J. R. BOYD ON THEIR OUTSTANDING SEASON.
Whereas, the Lamar High School Silver Foxes of Darlington County capped their outstanding 2003 baseball season by taking the Division A state title in a dominating win over North High School by a combined score of 20-0; and
Whereas, the overwhelming victory was a monumental effort by the entire team; and
Whereas, this hard working and disciplined team won convincingly by giving up 3 hits while striking out 17 batters; and
Whereas, this outstanding finish for this stellar team portends of a continued winning tradition at Lamar High School. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the House of Representatives congratulate the Lamar High School Silver Foxes of Darlington County on their 2003 State Division A Baseball Title and honor the players and Coach J. R. Boyd on their outstanding season.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Lamar Coach J. R. Boyd on behalf of the championship team.
