AN ACT TO AMEND ACT 898 OF 1966, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO THE PACOLET STATION FIRE DISTRICT IN SPARTANBURG COUNTY, SO AS TO DECREASE THE MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF FIRE CONTROL FOR THE DISTRICT FROM SEVEN TO FIVE.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
Board decreased from seven to five members
SECTION 1. The first paragraph of Section 4 of Act 898 of 1966, as last amended by Act 189 of 1997, is further amended to read:
"After the creation of the Pacolet Station Fire District, there is established a Board of Fire Control for the district to be composed of five members who must be appointed by the Governor upon the recommendation of a majority of the Spartanburg County Legislative Delegation. The members of the board shall serve without pay and shall file annually a report with the Spartanburg County Board of Fire Control not later than the first of November of each year, showing all activities and disbursements made by the board during the year."
Time effective
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
