A JOINT RESOLUTION TO PROVIDE THAT EACH BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE GREENVILLE COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR SCHOOL YEAR 2003-2004 IS AUTHORIZED TO FORGIVE UP TO TWO SCHOOL DAYS MISSED BY A SCHOOL OF THE DISTRICT BECAUSE OF SNOW, ICE, OR EXTREME WEATHER CONDITIONS.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
Forgive school days missed
SECTION 1. Pursuant to Section 59-1-430(B) of the 1976 Code, each Board of Trustees of the Greenville County School District for school year 2003-2004 is authorized to forgive up to two school days missed by a school of the district because of snow, ice, or extreme weather conditions. If the board forgives these school days missed, the requirements of Section 59-1-430(B) must be met.
Time effective
SECTION 2. This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
Ratified the 24th day of March, 2004.
Approved the 26th day of March, 2004.
