AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 7-7-490, AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE DESIGNATION OF VOTING PRECINCTS IN SPARTANBURG COUNTY, SO AS TO REVISE CERTAIN VOTING PRECINCTS IN SPARTANBURG COUNTY AND REDESIGNATE A MAP NUMBER FOR THE MAP ON WHICH LINES OF THESE PRECINCTS ARE DELINEATED AND MAINTAINED BY THE OFFICE OF RESEARCH AND STATISTICS OF THE STATE BUDGET AND CONTROL BOARD.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Precincts revised

SECTION    1.    Section 7-7-490(B) of the 1976 Code, as last amended by Act 67 of 2003, is further amended to read:

"(B)    The precinct lines defining the precincts in subsection (A) are as shown on the official map on file with the Office of Research and Statistics of the South Carolina Budget and Control Board and as shown on certified copies provided to the State Election Commission and the Board of Voter Registration of the county by the Office of Research and Statistics designated as document P-83-04."

Time effective

SECTION    2.    This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.

Ratified the 20th day of April, 2004.

Approved the 22nd day of April, 2004.
